Why become a partner?
IABC partnership – it’s good for business
The Kansas City IABC Chapter is the premier networking organization for Kansas City-area professional communicators. KC/IABC is a five-time winner of The International Association of Business Communicators’ Chapter of the Year award, based on overall excellence in management and performance in the annual Chapter Management Awards.
KC/IABC includes approximately 200 members and hundreds of other professionals who attend our open events. Our members and followers are employed as communications professionals for major corporations, public relations and advertising agencies and non-profit organizations. Many KC/IABC members are entrepreneurs including writers, photographers, graphic designers and marketing/public relations consultants.
Our members are decision makers for their organizations. They are active professional consumers of business services and communication-support materials including printing, photography, video services, computer services, design, web services, news distribution and advertising.
IABC Kansas City has an excellent mix of seasoned professionals and those just starting in the business world. Our members are active in the community and professionally and personally support local retailers including restaurants, clothing stores, specialty boutiques and entertainment venues.
Our members are great networkers. KC/IABC offers monthly luncheons, special interest group meetings, annual conferences, blogs, newsletters, Facebook, Twitter and more for our members to keep up with best practices including passing on tips about good vendors and valued partners.
What does it mean to be an IABC Partner?
Partnership signals your commitment to excellence in communications. Your employees benefit from KC/IABC professional development programs; your customers and prospects see your active support of best practices in business communications.
As a partner, you have direct access to the local community of professional business communicators. You have the opportunity to present information about your company at events, where you receive regular recognition. You receive free tickets to our monthly luncheon events, great for your employees, prospects or customers. You also are eligible for discounted admission to our annual Business Communicators Summit – a day-long conference for all professional communicators. If you choose to compete in our annual Bronze Quill awards, you are eligible for reduced entry fees and attendance at the gala awards ceremony.
