As a full-time free-lance writer/business communicator for the past 30-plus years, I owe much of my success to KC/IABC.  The organization has provided me with professional development; both formal and informal networking opportunities; camaraderie through special interest groups; and an unparalleled support system.  By serving on various committees, the board and eventually as president of the organization, I have gained leadership skills that have benefited me throughout my career.  Additionally, earning my ABC helped me to refine my skills and enhances my credibility with clients.
