Our annual Bronze Quill Awards promote personal and professional growth and recognize excellence in the field of business communication. The Bronze Quill Awards are an opportunity to have your work evaluated by communication experts outside the Kansas City area and see how you compare with your peers.

2012 Bronze Quill Awards Mark your calendar today. The 2012 Bronze Quill Awards will be May 3, 2012, at the classic Uptown Theater, in Kansas City, Mo. We will provide more details and itinerary for the evening as we get closer to the event. This year’s event will feature cocktails, appetizers, a meal, and the honoring of this year’s award winners.

Who Can Enter You do not need to be a KC/IABC member to enter. The Bronze Quill Award program is open to all communications professionals including agencies, nonprofits, corporations and freelancers. KC/IABC members do receive a discounted entry fee.

Special Awards Each year at the Bronze Quill Awards ceremony, KC/IABC honors outstanding members of the communications community with the following special individual awards. These individuals are nominated by their industry peers.

Rising Star Award (2004-present)
Volunteer of the Year Award (1992 to present)
Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2006-present)
Floyd Walker Incredible Award (1980-present)
Arthur E. Lowell Award recipients (1982 to present)

The highest honor given by KC/IABC is the The Arthur E. Lowell Award. Named for the late Arthur Lowell, the first honorary lifetime member of the chapter, the award recognizes communicators in the Kansas City area who have qualities of excellence, achievement and civic involvement. Anne Canfield was the Arthur Lowell Award winner for 2011.
